The Welder magazine came to me with a challenge: capture the soul of Liberty Trailers and the man behind the craft, Mike Teso. I had twelve days from the first hello to final files, and that kind of pressure has a way of cutting straight to the authentic moments.
I owned everything behind the camera, from concept and shot planning to directing on site, shooting and post-production. Instead of product shots, I went after the people: the sparks, the grit and the hands that build the trailers.
The magazine's team designed the layout around my photos. The story ran as a four-page feature, and one of my shots landed the cover.
Sparks and grit.
